The University and the student union offers variety of opportunities for the new students to interact with others, whether it be in an academic or social capacity. The student support is also fabulous, any queries raised via mail get a reply ASAP, and within 1 business day at the latest. Most professors actually care about the students and will actively listen to their grievances. Though the same can't be said for most of the student union members. The worst experience that I had would be when I was facing a problem and was told to contact the student union. Now I didn't have high expectations, but being ghosted by the union rep broke my spirit. It was a tough time and I had to rely on my professor's guidance to help me out. The professors don't get paid to solve the sort of problem I had, it mostly comes under Student union's responsibilities, but the professor I was contacting was more than willing to spend a couple hours with me for a few days to work on it. Which is way more effort than replying to a text message, which the student union rep ignored.

The professors actually tried to help the students and were very careful and observant while teaching. We had in-class learning and most of them would slow down if they sensed some people were confused. They also made an effort to make sure that everything being taught was properly understood by the class and approaches any and all students that seemed to be struggling in class. Out of 9 professors that I've attended, 8 were actually interested in teaching and cared for the students, and it showed in the way they presented the course material.

The beach is great. You also have access to a lot of beautiful places that you can reach by public transport. The summers here are great and the winters aren't bad either.

The halls were pretty comfy. Although if you like peace and quiet then you'd be annoyed by the constant police sirens that you'd get to hear throughout the day as the hall is right next to a police station. But that also means that it is one of the safest student halls. The one time that some people were throwing derogatory comments at me a police officer stepped in and de-escalated the situation. Any bad experiences that I had were not from the management, but from the students living there.
