Bournemouth university nursing program has some fantastically inspiring people at it's forefront, there is an ethos of teamwork from day one those at the helm are reminding us we stick together and do our best to leave no one behind. There is a wealth of staff from diverse backgrounds helping to pave the way through the different areas of nursing, they are informed, engaging and approachable. The uni has an approach of using personal tutor groups and leads that oversee your study for the duration of your time with them. They meet with you regularly and are the ones who will help you to get the right support whenever you need it. As many of the team are from nursing backgrounds there is a sense of empathy that emanates from them as a whole, they have an understanding that we will have challenges but they show determination to help with those hurdles. There is an academic team on campus to help gain academic writing skills, to work on maths needed for medicine management, study skills etc too, so there is often a helping hand nearby. The nursing course predominantly is based at the Bournemouth gateway building which is purpose built, it has suites with hospital and ambulance settings, lots of opportunities to learn anatomy and physiology with a well stocked library and the anatomage table. The gateway building also has many computers, 24hr access, and most importantly good coffee.
