As an international student coming all the way from the much smaller country Norway, I love getting to experience and explore this big and busy city. Even after having lived here for 1,5 year I still feel like I am always seeing and learning new stuff! London is truly a city that has everything and a little bit more, with opportunities I could only dream of back home. I love the location of my uni, and how the closest shops and fast food chains only are a few meters away, making it super easy to get a little snack in between classes. I also love how small some of the classes are, as it makes you really get a chance to connect with your tutors as well as a safe space to interact and ask questions directly. I really am very satisfied for having ended up here! However, if I had to mention something that could be improved, it would have to be more flexibility in terms of the classes. As an international student in the uk, you are obligated to attend at least 70% of your timetabled classes every single week. They take attendance first thing first in all classes, something that I also wasn’t too familiar with as a Norwegian! (Uni in Norway is much more up to what each student makes out of it, with classes with hundreds of people in big study halls. You come as you go more on your own terms and based on your own needs). I would love to have the choice to attend my classes online, so I am more free to visit friends and family back home!

I love how career focused my course is! I really feel like I am going to get to use and practice what I’ve learned after my degree is over as well. I am already looking forward to getting to bring with me my knowledge and experiences to my next adventure after uni, wherever that ends up taking place. Another thing I appreciate is the timetable hours. The days are in various lengths and at different times, making it feel exciting and not repeating. Some days I only have one class, while other days I can have three!

It’s a great place with a lot of support from the tutors. I’ve had a lot of 1-1 time with multiple tutors and almost all of them have been incredibly kind and helpful. Also Brighton is nice in general, cause a lot of the locations are accessible via public transport. I’d say the facilities aren’t awful, it’s just that they aren’t helpful to be at sometimes, had some issues with printing. Still great though.

Great contact time with the tutors, the hours are handy as I can work part time.
