Aston university was my first choice university when I applied to universities through ucas. I knew that I wanted to go there as the university has such a homely feel to it and everyone is so welcoming. I love that the university actually has a campus and it feels like something you’d see on tv. The whole time I’ve been studying at Aston university I have felt safe, looked after and I have become more independent and confident. My course is amazing and very interesting, I love my tutors they have given me amazing support and I cannot wait to go into second year. This has by far been the best decision I have ever made. Some of the downsides to the university could be that I haven’t really connected much with the societies because I cannot really find much information.

I love love love my course! The way it’s taught through blended learning is a very smart approach it helps me go back and revise the lectures when needed and it enables me to have some independent time too and manage my time more effectively. All of my lecturers have office hours and they are very flexible , you can see them face to face or online which i think Is also very good. A brilliant part of my course is that everyone is super friendly , it feels like one big family which i absolutely love! All my lecturers support me so much and answer emails really quick.

The lecturers are compassionate and prioritise your well-being, particularly regarding mental health. They recognise that the shift from home to residence in halls can be overwhelming and stressful. Fortunately, numerous support services are available to help you through this transition. You'll also discover a variety of clubs and activities designed to foster connections and build friendships during this critical period in your life. Being situated in the heart of Birmingham means you're conveniently close to clubs, bars, and shops, offering a vibrant student nightlife to explore and enjoy.

The lecturers genuinely care about your success and are always willing to lend a helping hand to help you reach your full potential. However, it can be challenging with the limited contact and course hours available at the university. Feeling the pressure is understandable, but rest assured you’re not alone on this journey.

It is a lovely location; however, United students don't take anything seriously. I had 15 power outages, and they didn't fix the problem until it is hours later each time. Maintenance requests take anywhere from a day to four months to be answered. And some of the reception staff are not nice and do not take you seriously.
