Overall, my experience has been very rewarding and also mentally challenging. I've met alot of new people and friends which help me through the assignments and other things.

Have improved since enrolling first year. Had a separate study area to college students which is a great help. A lot of support internally and externally with assignments and social life. Mental health facilities have improved drastically and there is a tonne of support if you need to talk to someone then and there or book an appointment. Wardens are really friendly and helpful, they seem to really care about the safety and will join in with activies to have fun.

The support is very good. Some lectures reply immediately to emails externally if you have a question, some don't. There is also alot of mental health support on and off site.

I like most of the modules which are included in this course. They are really interesting and cover a wide variety of subjects. The things which aren't so good is the business modules, we have had one each year and if we don't want to open a business then it isnt very nesesary.

There are lots of lectures which have links to outside organisations and can help you speak to them about future careers. There is also career advisors on site if you need to speak to someone or need help with anything.

Wow! blown away! I love it! Coming back to full time studies was the best decision I've made in years. Coming back to Askham Bryan after over 20 years has backed that up. The college, course, staff and students should be very proud and very grateful for what we have here. Not o ly have I been made so very welcome, I am producing my best work ever due to the exceptionally high teaching standard and learning resources and experiences available. This college has ambition and drive and makes its goals ambitions and objectives clear and achievable for everyone to achieve. As the college grows and hopefully achieved uni status I'm convinced that the focus will still be on maintaining a focus on quality, safety and customer satisfaction. I know and understand business and corporate pressures and can recognise the qenuine article when I see it. Its the people that make the difference. Being a mature student that studied at Askham Bryan over 20yrs ago I can safely say that the college has grown and improved its facilities beyond all expectations. The LRC is in the same building but the learning resources are incredible for a college of this size. The online content and access to Leeds Trinity's library resources are also a huge help. The canteen and catering facilities deserve a mention as the food is healthy, well prepared and amazing value. I can't buy a meal as cheap anywhere else and the staff are all friendly and polite. I have to mention the completely new HE facilities in the main building, offering a brand new HE common room and HE computer room. If the LRC is busy or noisy you can always escape and find a quiet corner to work or relax... priceless. As a Sport student I also have free access to the college gym and climbing wall. They may be small but I'm not complaining. Having these resources at hand makes fir an easy college life and less stress. I'm sure the big Unis have a lot more resources at hand but Askham Bryan have obviously listen to students over the years and have made big changes to attract and retain students at all levels.

Again, I'm blown away with the support I've received both prior to and during my current studies. Comming back into full time education after over 25 year in a successful career was a big decision. Being a very mature student and having a history of mental health issues created its own barriers and I wasn't sure what kind of reception I'd get making enquiries to study a degree level course at Askham Bryan. From the first phone call It was clear that I was dealing with a team of dedicated and proffesional staff. I had the opportunity to talk to the course manager and made an appointment to meet up fave to face less than a week. At the meeting the support and encouragement was instant and all my fears and anxieties evaporated evaporated away and I was made to feel welcome and encouraged to apply for full time studies. Once I'd applied and being accepted I applied for my student finance including DSA. I was advised by the DSA assessment centre to speak to the college student support team, so I gave them a call not really knowing what to expect. From that moment on I have been overwhelmed by the amazing support I have received. I can honestly say that it has made such a difference to my study and made me feel welcome and accepted as a mature student at the college. I now have a personal mentor at college and we discus all aspect of my studies on at weekly sessions arranged to suit my needs. My support goes out of her way to ensure I'm planning, delivering and enjoying my course. She understands the pressures and knows the course tutors, content and deadlines and helps me to manage my time and plan to succeed. The support from the tutors is what has made the most difference. Only having 2 tutors and being part of a small group give the course a personal feel and support and feedback is available whenever it is required. Apart from the weekly group tutorial, I know I can approach my tutors with any questions and requests for support. I can email them, pop into the office to see them and we have a Facebook group set up to keep in touch and organise lectures and practicals. I've managed to keep organised and ahead of assessment deadlines and again the feedback from my tutors has been invaluable to improving my work and making the most of the learning resources available to me. Although I haven't really had a lot to do with a the rest of the college support functions I know that they are there if I need them. The SU are very visible and make great efforts to support and entertain the students. I'm loving my course and feel very fortunate to have the support that I get.

The quality and content of all my lecture is amazing. My course tutors have gone above and beyond what I expected to ensure information, resources and exceptional, individual support is available at all times. Lectures are well prepared, well presented and available to review on Moodle pre and post lectures. I am very lucky to be part of a small course group so the lecture style is very personal and almost 1-2-1 some days. The practical element of the course is amazing and the equipment and combined knowledge of the tutors is very impressive. I have access to equipment to use in my own time and we are encouraged to practice and improve our skills whenever possible. I honestly can't fault the course content or teaching methods and it's clear that lectures teach as a lifestyle choice and enjoy the course as much as the students do.

Amazing! My course manager and tutors are very proactive. Lectures include, Industry skills and Academic skills to enhance our employability and to ensure we have the skill to enter a very competitive employment market. As part of our course work we have just applied for a mock position at the college and will be expected to attend a mock interview and deliver a micro lecture to fellow students. Again great efforts have been made to help us secure the right work placement and continued support emphasises the importance of a relevant, meaningful, realistic and successful placement.
