The university has lots of great facilities and very helpful staff. It is a shame, however, that the city campus does not have as many exercise facilities as the Headingly Campus (which is much more difficult for some students to access). For example, in the Headingly Campus there is a bigger gym, lots of exercise classes and many more facilities. However, I do understand that this is a big change that can't be helped. There are many friendly and welcoming staff members, and I feel that I have had the opportunity to fit in very well into the LBU life.

The structure and content of the course is great. I think that it could be improved if there was more comunication between staff members, as there are times when one lecturer says one thing, but then another lecturer will say the opposite. The course hours are very good, giving us the right balance between work and personal life. The course is a mixture between online and in-class learning, and lecturers are very helpful if the class requests an online lecture due to, for example, only having a 2hr lecture in a day. Unfortunately, it can be difficult at times to get hold of staff members, and it may take an email reminder or just contacting a different member of staff. The September cohort (from what I have been told by September students) is very organised and the staff are on top of everything that needs to be done, but the January cohort can often be forgotten about and not quite as organised. For example, not getting our eppaulettes before the start of placement. Or not getting our placement allocation until a few days before the start date - I believe, however, that the university has stopped taking on January students this year, which I think is a shame but a good idea to reduce stress on staff. Other than the above, I have really enjoyed the course so far and I think it has allowed me to become a great nurse as well as improving my social skills and confidence.
