Best experience include being part of various societies and working on committee to create really inclusive spaces where everyone can have a great time. In addition the academics have always been really inspiring and the research is excellent. Worst aspects include a lack of helpful support for managing stress and workload, as well as ultimately poor support throughout the pandemic and now during the cost of living crisis. Also to point out that there have been strikes for my whole course of my degree which the university have failed to come to an agreement over and failed to support the staff.

The best aspects have been in my final two years where the faculty allows me to work independently and really develop my skills as a researcher. The worst parts include lecture teaching in the first few years that were not necessarily very engaging although this may have been more difficult due to the pandemic.

It was a good place to live however there are no good options in moving out if you have difficulties with your flat and no real support from the management team.
