It’s a simple building. Students union not really described much. However good social life and help were needed

Good accomm. Staff help when needed however not much security and extremly way to get in the building without a key card

Leeds Beckett is a great University in terms of social life. The student union is constantly engaging with students (especially the Law society which frequently hosts events and actively engages students). The uni is also in a great location. Since most of the university is in the city centre, it provides a nice walk to student accomodations and also shops which students living in Leeds find appealing.

I study Law, my course is blended between online and face to face teaching. The tutors are great, they have perceptive knowledge on the modules, are easy to contact and interactive (even during lectures with many people). While I think the face to face lectures and seminars are fantastic due to the reasons I listed above, the online lectures lack in these aspects. While the quality of content is great, and the tutors feed students a lot of content through the online lectures, they are incredibly boring. This is expected as there is less of that live face to face discussion and therefore a lack of an interactive element. While to many this is not necessarily a negative, some students may find these online lectures irrelevant.

One Mill street is exceptional for first year students as it provides all the basic necessities (and a washing machine, meaning students don't have to worry about circuit laundry). The reception staff are wonderful and helpful, the on site security and the metal doors outside the accomodation provide a great level of security. Despite this, there are also downsides to One mill street. Sometimes there are limited/ inconsistent reception opening times. While sometimes they do communicate to you when reception may be closed, sometimes reception is closed at random with no communication from the reception team. This can be frustrating for some tenants. Overall, the maintenance is also good. There are regular fire alarm checks, shower head cleaning, water checks and meter readings to ensure the comfort of the tenants and good quality of the flats.
