Things you’ll hear on results day

Listen out on results day, you’re bound to hear some of these crackers…

“I’ve done SOOO badly”

This tends to come from the brainiac of the class who you know for a fact has absolutely smashed their results…and they know it too.

They always knew the answer to every question asked in class, did extra homework on top of their homework and you’ve never seen them get anything less than an A. They’ve going to get so many stars in their results they’ll be able to see them from space, and they know it too, this is just for attention. Ignore them.

“I have every faith in you”

Without a doubt this one will come from your teachers. While they’re saying this to be supportive, they’re also secretly panicking because they saw you on exam results day trying to read an entire book in the space of ten minutes and want to make you feel better.

“Hopefully I’ll drop down in sociology?”

There’s always one person who regrets their first uni choice, and they’re likely to say something like this. These people are genuinely hoping they did slightly badly just so they can get into their insurance choice instead.

“When is it?”

The most disorganised person in your class, they not only don’t know when results day is, they also barely knew when their own exams were in the first place. They wrote about the wrong book for their coursework, turned up for the wrong exams and basically need a teacher to constantly remind them of when and where they need to be.

“We love you whatever happens”

Your parents are likely to already be saying this to you, reassuring you that whether you get top grades or nothing at all, they’ll always love you. But we guarantee they’re secretly praying for you to get into uni so they can turn your room into an office.

“If it’s not three As it’s wrong”

This person is so convinced that they’ve aced their exams that they’ve already bought themselves a branded hoody from their first choice uni. If they don’t get the right results, you may want to avoid them…

“Can we meet at 6.30am to get to school?”

Everyone wants to get their exam results as soon as possible, whether it’s to get it out the way or because they know they did well and want confirmation of it. But there’s always one person who wants to get up for results farrrr too early, and guess what, you agreed to meet them beforehand.
