Why you should go: The Blue Room is a newly refurbished multi-event space located in the heart of Lincoln’s beautiful Cathedral Quarter. It’s an intimate venue with a capacity of 100-150 people, and a flexible performance space which can host theatre shows, dinners, dance classes, live music, cinema and much more. All the in-house catering is provided by Stokes Tea & Coffee, who serve a delicious menu of refreshments to complement a wide range of events. The Blue Room runs a regular programme of yoga and Zumba sessions for all ages.

What it is: A historic antiques and collectables market in Lincoln’s Castle Square.

If you’re into retro and vintage things then you’ll love this antiques market, which attracts numerous local vendors and specialist dealers. You’ll find furniture, jewellery, vintage homeware, ceramics, fine art, retro clothing and so much more here, while exploring the delights of Lincoln’s beautiful Cathedral Quarter. The market is open on the 1st Sunday of each month, as well as bank holidays from April to September.

What it is: One of the UK’s finest and oldest cathedrals, with almost 1000 years' worth of history.
Why you should go: How could we not include Lincoln’s world-famous cathedral? When completed, it was the first man-made structure to be taller than the Great Pyramid of Giza, which is a truly epic achievement. It held this title for more than 300 years until the Eiffel Tower was built. One of Europe’s finest gothic buildings, the cathedral is filled with intricate detail, masterful stonework and is one of the most significant architectural monuments in the UK. The city has two universities, the University of Lincoln and Lincoln Bishop University which together form a student community of around 15,000. This means that there are many events and attractions in Lincoln which cater to student interests, and bring opportunities for things like sports teams, live music, and entertainment.
