Robert Gordon University (RGU) is in Aberdeen, north-east Scotland. The uni offers industry-focused degrees, ensuring students graduate ready to enter the world of work. University of Birmingham


Founded in 1900, the University of Birmingham has a claim to fame as the first UK uni to allow female students to study medicine. Today, the uni is still at the forefront of a lot of medical research, and was recently ranked 14th in the UK by Complete University Guide’s 2024 league tables. As the UK’s ‘second city’, Birmingham has a lot to offer students. As well as being renowned for its shopping opportunities, Birmingham also has a vibrant nightlife scene, plenty of culture and great transport connections to UK-wide destinations.

Cardiff University


Cardiff University sits in the heart of Wales’s capital city, offering students easy access to everything they need. In addition, the uni has a history dating back to 1833 and currently has students from over 100 different countries, meaning the uni has a diverse and welcoming reputation. The city itself is famous for the amount of live entertainment on offer, from comedy clubs to theatres and music venues. Ulster University is spread across three campuses in Northern Ireland. The uni has a campus in Belfast, one in Coleraine and the third is the Magee (Derry~Londonderry) campus. Each campus is at the heart of its community and each one offers something different. The Belfast campus benefits from having the uni’s Jordanstown sports village seven miles from the city, while Magee offers city living in Northern Ireland’s second city, and Coleraine offers access to woodland- and water-based adventures, including surfing. Travelling around Northern Ireland is easy thanks to the rail network, and airports and ferry ports allow for easy connections to the rest of the UK.
