UCL (University College London)
Located in central London, UCL can offer students everything they want from their uni experience. The main UCL campus is in Bloomsbury, near major transport hubs Kings Cross St Pancras and Euston. In London, you’ll find no shortage of entertainment, food, and nightlife. The transport network allows you to get across the city quickly, with regular buses and tubes running. UCL also boasts a large and diverse student body and is known for its overall high research quality.

University of Cambridge
The University of Cambridge is one of the most prestigious and oldest universities in the UK. A member of the Russell Group with a big focus on providing a space for students to do some incredible research work. A degree from Cambridge is most certainly seen as a positive by employers, as it came top of the charts for law students in graduate outcomes.

University of Glasgow
Situated in Scotland’s largest city, the University of Glasgow is well-known for its vibrant culture and student life. The city itself is an exciting cultural hub, and there’s plenty to keep students occupied during their studies, from theatres to galleries to concert halls. You’ll also find a huge selection of independent restaurants, bars and cafes to socialise in. The university has students from over 140 different countries, and is comprised of three campuses, each with its own unique character.

Cardiff University
Based in the capital of Wales, Cardiff University dates back to 1833 and currently has students from over 100 different countries. The uni’s campus is situated in the heart of Cardiff, meaning students are well-located, with everything you need just a short distance away. Around Cardiff, you’ll find lots of pubs, bars and clubs, which contribute to a lively, student-friendly nightlife scene. There’s also enough comedy clubs, theatres and music venues to keep any student busy!

Queen’s University Belfast
Queen’s University Belfast is ranked within the top 30 overall universities according to Complete University Guide’s 2026 League Tables. Founded in 1845, it’s internationally respected and centrally located in Belfast, Northern Ireland’s capital city. Belfast offers students the chance to easily explore the city on foot, though there’s public transport available if you prefer buses and trains. Around the city, you’ll find museums, art galleries, theatres and music venues for your dose of culture, plus many restaurants, bars, cafes and pubs to keep you fed and watered. Belfast also comes in as one of the cheapest UK cities to live in, so you’ll get more for your money.

It might not be a surprise considering it's already featured twice on this list, but the University of Cambridge takes the top spot in the 2026 league tables for law. Congrats to the University of Cambridge!
