Whatuni collects around 35,000 independent, honest and verified university reviews from students every year. These form the basis of the Whatuni Student Choice Awards, the only annual uni awards based solely on student opinion.
Nottingham Trent University won this year's WUSCA in the International category.
“The university has provided so many opportunities to explore different cultures through the Global Lounge and by organising Global Week. The support provided for students during assessments in particular is very helpful. Other than that, the university provided guidance every step of the way in terms of accommodation, opening a bank account and other things that are a part of an international student's life in a new country. It’s been a great experience overall.” – Student review on Whatuni

What to look out for about the international student experience at university
International students generally care about the same things as domestic students, with a twist. Consider how a university welcomes and supports international students, when they newly arrive at uni and on through their course. Is there positive integration between domestic and international students? Are there special programmes and activities on- and off-campus for students from overseas to help them make friends and settle in? Are international students supported well throughout their course, and is there a variety of nationalities attending the uni?
