If we’ve learned anything from watching the Big Bang Theory (other than the fact that Sheldon Cooper would be really difficult to live with), it’s that physics is a complicated business. While the degree might be tricky, though, we’ve tried to make finding the right course as easy as possible. If you’re unlucky enough to not quite meet your entry grades this August, or if you've changed your mind about the course you want to study, then follow these three quick steps and we’ll help you get back on track:
There are some things you’ll want to take care of before results day so that you’re as prepared for the Clearing process as you can be. Check out our ultimate guide to Clearing and follow the outlined stages; that way you’ll have done a lot of the research beforehand, and you can hopefully beat the rush of people on results day.
Before ringing up about physics courses you’ll need to make sure you have everything you need to hand. Make sure you’re ready, then take a breath and start making those calls. Remember to sound as enthusiastic as possible and do your best to sell yourself over the phone.
Success! Once you’ve secured a place, it’s time to start thinking about accommodation. Ring the university to see if any student halls are available, and check that they’ve put you on the waiting list for the halls you like the look of. If there aren’t any halls available, the university should be able to put you in contact with any students or landlords who have spare rooms that need filling.
