Results day – whether that's A-level results day or BTEC or SQA results day – is drawing closer (although we’re sure you don’t need reminding!), so now is the perfect time to make plans for your future. Sure, you may know where you’ll be headed if you get your predicted results, but what happens if, for whatever reason, you don’t quite make the grade?
Worrying about your academic future is only natural, but if the worst were to happen it wouldn’t be the end of the world. If you don't make your first or your insurance choice, you always have the option of finding a zoology course through Clearing.
We've got loads of handy Clearing articles and more on our Clearing Hub. Browse unis across the UK, find courses with open Clearing spaces, and get advice on your next steps in Clearing.
Clearing is open to any student looking for a degree programme without an offer, or who isn't happy with the university or course they've been accepted to. However, given the popularity of undergraduate life, the process can be stressful to say the least. If you’re worried about this, then you should try and get ahead by doing a bit of research now.
You may not know for sure whether or not you'll need to use Clearing before the publication of your results, but – trust us – it does pay to prepare in advance. You might not even need your research, but given that Clearing places will be offered on a first come, first served basis, you don’t want to be wasting hours researching courses when you get your results.
Our advice? Have a read of our ultimate guide to Clearing to get a better idea of how the process works, then draw up a shortlist of other unis that offer zoology courses you think you'd be interested in. There should be loads!
Also take a look at our university reviews so that you can get an impression of the different unis from the perspective of current undergraduates and previous alumni.
