I knew I wanted to come to Reading when I first came at summer to visit a friend of mine. I loved that I’d be having lectures in many different building and that I would explore the campus as I was attending different lectures and seminars, and that the contacts I’d get would be amazing, especially to get me started in a my business career. At the very start of this year, I was receiving tens of emails about opportunities out there for me to apply for and loads of ways to start building my CV. I knew I would choose to stay in Reading to study at the Henley campus, as I couldn’t imagine choosing any other university. It’s incredible having lectures overlooking the beautiful campus, and living in the St George's student accommodation. The only downside to living next to the University, is the travel to city where most of the shops etc are located at, that can be easily solved by either taking a bus or a bike, or walking downhill for 15 minutes. The accomodation is next to the university and I have to walk 7 minutes to get to my classes. I do not have to pay any traveling costs and It is in a very convenient location !

The course is taught very well, it is well organized, in the first year there are not alot of teaching hours because they teach all the basics for the second and third year, the grades in the first year doesnt count but it is a perfect opportunity to get into the habit of studying and to get all the basic knowledge for the course ahead. The lessons are perfectly well spaced, there are online and offline lessons and lectures and the lecturers are very keen in helping their students, it is very good learning environment that benefits the students to a great extent. They also host extra classes to assist you with different aspects of the business world, and help you get started!

The halls I am staying it is amazing, very good prices, always hot water available, fastest wifi I have seen in my life, the room is very big for the price and the kitchens are very modern and with enough space for a large amount of people. The reception recieves any parcels and acts as a help center and parcel collection, it is very useful and all the people working there are very ince people, it is quite modern with a card system to open doors etc, and if you get locked out there is someone available to help you at all times using the Halls Hotline

Great environment on campus, good commitment to green causes as well. In terms of improvements, perhaps greater sporting facilities for students to access, especially for those wanting to participate who aren’t doing a sporting degree. This would include a greater variety of venues for sports, it feels rather limited and perhaps greater access for more popular sports i.e very few football pitches despite the demand for students to play

Business management currently features far too few learning hours in my opinion with very little set in regards to work at home or outside of lecture hours. Initially during my first term, I only had 4 hours a week of in person learning and now only 8 hours currently and this simply seems like far too little and can really limit the learning taking place at the moment. It makes it hard for students to consolidate their knowledge and makes you wonder what you’re paying for on the course? Whilst the teaching is good and insightful, there simply isn’t enough

I appreciate the services provided within halls such as weekly cleaning aswell as the refurbishment of the kitchens. Highly expensive however making it difficult to justify the value for money
