King’s is an amazing place to study in the heart of London. There are plenty of study spaces with gorgeous architecture, especially the Maughan Library by Covent Garden. King’s also has the exclusive Gordon Museum for King’s students only boasting the largest collection of medical specimens in the UK. One thing that could be improved is the careers page, as I feel it needs to be easier to navigate and filter. As well as this, the lecture capture needs to be implemented across workshops and tutorials as well as lectures, because if you’re bedridden and can’t attend the workshop or tutorials, there’s no way you can get the same experience and explanations as if you were at the uni.

The lecturers are good and make the modules enjoyable. As well as this, my course allows the opportunity to replace an optional module with a language module, which is great, so I’m taking Japanese alongside the other science modules. The lecturers are also open to students coming up after the lecture to ask for clarification and are extremely friendly. My personal tutor is also great and wants to interact a lot with his tutees throughout the years. The majority of content is in-person, which is good because that’s the uni experience everyone wants and are paying for and it’s almost impossible to get massively behind on lectures, whereas it’s too easy to just not do leckeres when they’re online prerecorded.

The location was absolutely amazing slap bang in the City of London borough only 20 minutes walk away from Guy’s Campus, and a longer walk to Strand and Waterloo campuses. The accommodation is also right by Tower Hill, Aldgate, Aldgate East, Tower Gateway and Monument tube stations and Fenchurch Street train station, as well as by many bus routes, so was great for transport. It is also a 5 minute walk away from the Tower of London, Tower Bridge and the Gherkin, and you can see them from the rooms in the accommodation. The only thing I disliked was the amount of money it cost: £290pw for a room in a shared bathroom shared kitchen 3 bed flat.
