Overall, the environment here is great. Everybody is friendly, the course isn’t too stressful and there’s something here for everybody! This means no one will feel excluded.

Facilities

How good are your university's facilities?

The facilities at edge hill are great, they have a wide range of facilities and they accommodate for everybody to allow for ease of use.

Student support

How good is the support offered by the uni? Think both academic (tutors/feedback) and personal (counselling, etc).

Personal tutors ask students how they’re doing all the time, there’s also help services for students who wish to have counselling at which they can help the students find the help.

Students' union

What do you think of your Students' Union in terms of student representation and facilities?

The student union run quite a lot of activities for the university and also run a large portion of shops at the university, they’re always improving the university for everybody.

Local life

Is your university in a good location in terms of distance to accommodation and local amenities?

My accommodation is on campus, the university also run a bus every 20 minutes for those who live outside of campus to allow for ease of access and for other students to do their weekly shopping.

Societies and Sports

How would you rate the variety of societies/sports?

There’s a society for everyone; marvel, sign language, singing, theatre and many more. There’s also plenty of sports teams that can be joined for those who wish to do sports and keep active.

Lecturers and teaching quality

What do you like most and least about the way your course(s) are taught?

The best thing about the courses are that they’re taught and allow students to go at their own speed as some students already know some of the material. Although, the bad part is that one course is not too good at teaching the mathematical parts of the course.

Career prospects

How does your uni make efforts to increase your employability (careers department, work placements, transferable skills)?

They have a careers team to help students get jobs, this means that those who aren’t sure on how to get a job can have help with making a cv and can ask for help on finding a job.

University halls

What do you think about the safety, condition, location and cost of your accommodation?

There’s plenty of security for my building, we have weekly tests of the fire alarm and practice fire drills too. The location is great because it’s not too far from other places on campus whilst the cost can be quite high, it’s worth it.
