What is Politics? Subject overview with study options

Exploring ideologies, you will examine the implementation of freedom, democracy and human rights, and develop an understanding of how politics affects us, how parliaments operate and the processes of election.

A politics degree doesn't automatically qualify you to become an MP, but it does offer a solid grounding if you intend to work in or around Westminster, the Scottish Parliament, Welsh Assembly or any of the branches of local government.
