At Bournemouth University we want you to have an outstanding and personalised student experience. We do this by providing excellent teaching, facilities, professional practice, work placements and real-life consultancy projects.  

We also guarantee BU-managed* accommodation for all first year undergraduate students starting in 2013. A small number of exceptions apply to students at one of our partners or those on NHS courses.

Bournemouth University has a strong professional focus as well as ensuring high standards in academic excellence and graduate employability. We believe placements significantly increase your employability, and at BU you will have the opportunity to undertake a placement as part of your course, whether that is a 40 week placement as part of a 4 year degree course, or smaller 4 week placements within a three year degree. 

We currently have more students on sandwich courses in the country, and therefore are extremely well prepared to offer you a great range of different and exciting placement opportunities.  In the past our students have worked for a wide range of large international companies as well as smaller family run firms, these include: Disney, BBC, Sky, IBM, Panasonic, Chelsea Football Club, Olympic Developments Committee, Framestore Animation and many more.

* BU-managed accommodation includes all halls of residence and Unilet options in this presentation. Students will be eligible provided they apply for their accommodation choices by the day after A-level results day by 5pm.
