The University of Ulster is a dynamic, modern and progressive university. It has over 24,000 students, out of them 69 per cent study full time and 31 per cent study part time. The University of Ulster has four campuses throughout Northern Ireland: Jordanstown (near Belfast), Belfast city centre, Coleraine on the North coast and Magee in Londonderry. What's on Offer
The University of Ulster has repeatedly achieved demonstrably high standards in teaching, research and knowledge transfer. The Quality Assurance Agency assessed many subjects to give a possible score out of 24. The last 11 subject reviews have resulted in scores of 22 or higher, (with two perfect 24s), equivalent to an 'excellent' rating. The university achieved two out of three 5* ratings awarded in Northern Ireland in the last Research Assessment Exercise, the highest possible category denoting international excellence.
Six faculties offer a wide range of courses at undergraduate and postgraduate level. These faculties include, Art, Design and the Built Environment, Arts, Ulster Business School, Computing and Engineering, Life and Health Sciences, and Social Sciences. Annually more than 2,800 students undertake periods of placement in the public and private sectors throughout the UK and overseas, representing 43 per cent of full-time undergraduate students.
The University of Ulster welcomes over 800 international students annually from more than 50 countries and has valuable exchange and collaborative agreements with institutions in the United States, mainland Europe, China and Australia.
