As part of a £100 million investment in the future of the University, our ambitious vision for a multi-million pound redevelopment of the Sighthill Campus is developing cutting-edge facilities. Our students will move into the reopened campus in 2010/11 and will benefit from a student-focused campus which includes a learning resource centre, clinical skills laboratories, IT-enabled lecture theatres and seminar rooms as well as integrated sports facilities.

We have over 47,000 active Alumni, active graduates who play a dynamic role in university life as volunteers, supporters and donors. Some of our well-known graduates include film director Lynne Ramsay, photographer Colin Baxter, MSP Tavish Scott, and BBC broadcaster Catriona Shearer. We also confer honorary degrees on distinguished individuals across a wide range of fields. Those recognised include Sir Sean Connery, JK Rowling OBE, Sir Bill Gammell, Prof Anne Glover CBE, Sir Peter Maxwell-Davies and Dr Lindsay Stewart OBE.
