HND (Higher National Diploma) and HNC (Higher National Certificate) are work-related courses. Generally a Behavioural Psychology HND is equivalent to second year of university while a Behavioural Psychology HNC is equivalent to first year of university.
HND/HNC Subject Intro: Behavioural Psychology
Analysing what makes people tick and how they express themselves is a complex science. You will be expected to cover child development, cognitive psychology, personality, memory and the social psychology of individuals and groups. You will need to develop good research skills and be capable of interpreting lots of data and communicating the results.
Approximately a fifth of graduates become practicing psychologists. Other careers open to you include teaching, social work, the media or health care.
