In the UK, the standard first degree is a Bachelors degree with honours. Generally an Occupational Therapy degree course usually takes three years full-time study while in Scotland an Occupational Therapy degree course takes four years.

Whether you're thinking of a nursing or medical degree or want to develop understanding of social attitudes to health, they'll be a health sciences course for you.
You'll need to gain practical experience in a hospital or similar institution alongside your studies. Further qualifications will be needed if you decide to pursue a career in nursing, midwifery or dentistry. Otherwise, there are plenty of opportunities in the health and care sector, as well as marketing, research and promotion.
