Degree Subject Intro: Area Studies
An area studies degree will give you greater insight into a specific part of the world, and you may choose to work or study there. A second language is invaluable if you are studying outside the English-speaking world, but you will also need excellent research, analysis and presentation skills.
Opportunities for graduates vary. Your region of study is an obvious place to look for work, but international awareness is highly valued by a wide range of employers.
