What is this course about?

This course encourages an engagement with, and the practice of, writing; working within a critical and creative academic community, students will study and create a range of texts; from the 1st year students will encounter and produce work which covers all aspects of English and journalism, including news practice, editing, writing and reporting, fictions, literary history and theory; various options in both English and Journalism are pursued from the 2nd year onwards in areas such as international journalism, new media journalism and literary practices and histories.
