Semester 4: Introduction to journalism studies; research and writing; 1 additional unit from: society; media and culture; reading film and television.
Semesters 5-8: Sociology of journalism; print, broadcast and on-line journalism; journalistic practice and research methods; additional advanced semester units selected from the general film and media studies programme including: public relations; media law, policy and regulation; John Grierson and documentary analysis; sport, the media and popular culture.
