What's this course about?

This joint degree provides you with high-level training and knowledge in accounting and finance, and explains their role in management in both the public and private sectors. You will develop a broad understanding of accounting, finance and management, with detailed knowledge of accounting practices, finance, strategic management, computing, marketing, managerial economics and quantitative techniques. This course will be useful if you are looking to get into a career in accounting and finance, or are already working closely with the accounting and finance profession. This programme is designed to create an optional pathway for the quantitative-minded students on our BA Accounting and Management programme, thus allowing them to gain the 'with Finance' title in their degree. It is an academically rigorous programme with emphasis on accounting, management and finance. It will appeal to students who are in full-time employment and who wish to study part-time. On successful completion of this course, graduates go on to careers in accountancy, finance and management in a variety of settings.

The stats below refer to the subject of study at university rather than to the specific course or mode of study. For example, "German and Scandinavian Studies" refers to all students who have studied either German or a Scandinavian subject, either singly or in any combination with any other subject. Where there is not enough data to be meaningful for a subject, the statistics are collated with similar subjects. In the case of Scandinavian Studies, this would be Modern European Languages, and if there wasn't enough data for Modern European Languages, then this would be collated across All Languages.
