UK University Degrees

In the UK, the standard first degree is a Bachelors degree with honours. For the arts the degree awarded is BA (hons), for engineering a BEng (hons) and for science a BSc (hons) degree. In England, Wales and Northern Ireland a degree usually takes three years full-time study while in Scotland a degree takes four years. An integrated Master's degree (which takes four years) is still a first degree.
