Access and foundation Subject Intro: Pharmacy
Pharmacy is a demanding degree. Once you've graduated, you'll spend a year training, after which you'll qualify as a professional pharmacist. You'll have to become knowledgeable about the origin and chemistry of drugs, the preparation of medicine and approved pharmacy practice.
Employment rates amongst pharmacists are high and most graduates find work in NHS hospitals or high street chemists. Others will venture into industry and teaching or pursue further studies.
