Access and foundation Subject Intro: Nursing
Whether studying for a three-year diploma or four-year degree, you must learn a core set of skills in your first year, before specialising in one of four areas: adult, learning disabilities, mental health or children's nursing. Courses comprise 50 per cent theory and 50 per cent practice in hospitals.
Nursing graduates are qualified to work in hospitals, community health centres, GP practices and mental health units. Alternatively, you could take a specialised course in midwifery.

- I studied at the campus in Swindon which is a lot smaller than the marston road campus in Oxford; however because it is small you get amazing one to one support from the lecturers and you soon get to know the other students.
