Access and foundation Subject Intro: Media Studies

Working in media is one of the most popular career choices among graduates. Some degrees are strongly theoretical, whilst others are more vocational and you will be required to gain hands-on experience in a newsroom, at a publishing house or broadcaster.

Jobs in media are scarce, seldom well paid and often contracted on a freelance basis. But with sufficient work experience and vocational training there are opportunities for graduates in journalism, marketing, advertising, publishing and teaching.

Media Studies course reviews
Enthusiastic and knowledgable tutors but a pointless course.
Rating:
Read the prospectus and see if it's what you really want - lots of theory, no practical experience. Liverpool as a city is the best city in the UK for students - 4 universities mean there is lots for you to do outside of school!

Rating:
Uni is a little bit disorganised and needs more communication between staff and students. Some parts are okay, but TVU needs some improvement.
