Access and foundation Subject Intro: Dentistry
Study dentistry and you will be training to provide treatments such as teeth whitening, fillings, and administering X-rays and local anaesthetic. If you intend to establish your own practice, you will also need the skills to manage a business and dental team.
A degree takes around five years and you might need an aptitude test to prove you can succeed. Study areas include medicine, psychology, sociology and microbiology and you will acquire experience through clinical training and work placements.
