Access and foundation Subject Intro: Chemistry
For Primo Levi, chemistry 'represented an indefinite cloud of future potentialities'. The vast scope of disciplines for study includes food chemistry and neurochemistry, marine chemistry and chemical engineering. When choosing a degree, make sure you know which area you intend to specialise in.
Graduate opportunities are varied, ranging from employment in the pharmaceutical, agrochemical and oil industries, to the manufacture of detergents, cosmetics and explosives. Further work can also be found in government, health services and the media.
